This financial literacy workshop presented participants with a basic overview of credit, debt and savings to help them begin to understand the importance of financial literacy and the many tools that are available to them to begin the road to financial success. Through shared stories and reviewing basic concepts, workshop participants engaged in conversations and activities around credit, optimizing spending, debt and savings strategies.

This workshop was designed to provide a way for youth to discuss their knowledge and relationship to issues of race. Participants engaged with selections of hip-hop and poetry to understand these art forms as ways to tell stories, connect their individual and collective experiences, and reflect on current issues in society.
